Considering this site takes place in mostly the Amazon Rainforest, the predators and prey are far different than that of the original Warriors series. For your own sake, I've compiled a list of predators and prey that can be found in each clan's territory.
KEY: Danger level -- how dangerous the predator is on a scale of 1 - 10, ten being the most dangerous (PREDATOR only) Difficulty -- how difficult the prey is to capture on a scale of 1 - 10, ten being the most difficult (PREY only) Facts -- facts about the animal's habits, history, size, diet, build, personality, traits, etc. GJC -- how common the animal is in Great Jungle Clan GRC -- how common the animal is in Great River Clan GAC -- how common the animal is in Great Air Clan GFC -- how common the animal is in Great Fire Clan Very common -- it's not unusual to see this animal daily Common -- it's not unusual to see this animal every once in a while Less common -- it's not unusual to see this animal once a moon Uncommon -- it's unusual to see this animal Rare -- it's very unusual to see this animal Very rare -- it's practically unheard of seeing this animal N/A -- this animal is not found here
PREDATORS
Anaconda Danger level: 7/10 Facts: Anacondas can grow over 40 feet in length. They prey on animals as large as deer, and are a huge threat to the clans. These sneaky constrictors can hide in the water, so be wary when taking a drink! However, they aren't as common in Great Jungle Clan than they are in Great River Clan. GJC: Less common GRC: Very common GAC: Rare GFC: Rare
Caiman Danger level: 8/10 Facts: Unsuspecting animals that drink from the Amazon River might not have time to shriek when attacked by a caiman. These massive alligators have excellent hearing, sight, and smell. They have over 75 sharp teeth and are the largest predators of the Amazon. Be extremely careful. GJC: Less common GRC: Very common GAC: Very rare GFC: Rare
Clouded Leopard Danger level: 2/10 Facts: Once only indigenous to Asia, since the extinction of humans clouded leopards have migrated and become a member of the Amazon. They, like the jaguarundi, aren't a huge threat due to their size. Their fangs are enormous (the same length as a tiger's), they're excellent climbers, and they can prey on small deer. GJC: Common GRC: Less common GAC: Uncommon GFC: Rare
Cougar Danger level: 6/10 Facts: Also known as the mountain lion or puma, the cougar is a large cat that is slender and agile. They can grow to be as large as jaguars, but are not nearly as strong. They are great climbers and fast runners, and like the leopard and jaguar, can be falsely recognized as the black panther in which case their fur is all black. GJC: Very common GRC: Common GAC: Common GFC: Less common
Electric Eel Danger level: 3/10 Facts: These animals are actually fish. They prey on mostly fish, and it is unheard of them eating mammals. The cat don't have to worry about being preyed on, but if they're swimming they should be cautious. This fish can send a shock five times stronger than an electrical outlet. GJC: Uncommon GRC: Common GAC: N/A GFC: N/A
Harpy Eagle Danger level: 7/10 Facts: The harpy eagle mostly lives in the canopy layer of the rainforest. In the new world, they've been given the chance to revoke their once-endangered status. They are very threatening because of their speed, excellent eyesight, size, and strength. Be wary when venturing in the canopy! GJC: Common GRC: Less common GAC: Common GFC: Less common
Jaguar Danger level: 7/10 Facts: Jaguars are excellent climbers and swimmers. They're active at night, and can easily kill a clan cat. They prey on animals as large as deer, so the clans really need to watch out. Some are solid black (falsely called a black panther), which makes them blend into the shadows very well. GJC: Very common GRC: Common GAC: Less common GFC: Common
Jaguarundi Danger level: 2/10 Facts: The jaguarundi looks like a weasel or an otter. It's not very threatening, nor is it very large. It can easily be killed by two or three clan cats, but alone it poses a small threat. GJC: Less common GRC: Uncommon GAC: Very rare GFC: Very rare
Leopard Danger level: 6/10 Facts: Leopards are smaller than jaguars. They're not as common, but they are very skilled climbers and typically take their prey to the trees. Like any other big cat, they are a serious threat to the smaller clan cats. GJC: Less common GRC: Uncommon GAC: Very rare GFC: Rare
Ocelot Danger level: 5/10 Facts: Ocelots are only a little big bigger than the clan cats. They can take down small deer, but are usually shy or friendly, straying away from the clans. They're nocturnal with great eyesight and hearing. They swim well, prefer staying on the ground, can climb well, are fast, and prefer living by themselves. GJC: Common GRC: Less common GAC: Rare GFC: Uncommon
Piranha Danger level: 3/10 Facts: Piranhas rarely attack living animals. They have sharp, strong teeth, and they're fast swimmers. They swim in large schools. They typically feed on dead animals and fish, so they're aren't a big threat to the clans. GJC: Rare GRC: Common GAC: N/A GFC: N/A
Poison Dart Frogs Danger level: 6/10 Facts: These brightly colored, small frogs are extremely toxic. Avoid them at all costs. They don't swim very well. GJC: Very common GRC: Common GAC: Very rare GFC: Very rare
Spectacled Bear Danger level: 4/10 Facts: Native to the Amazon, spectacled bears are very shy. They prefer to eat vegetation, though they will prey on small mammals if given the chance. If you avoid this bear, they will avoid you. That being said, they aren't a serious threat to the clans and can be quite friendly and useful if they're on your side. GJC: Common GRC: Less common GAC: Uncommon GFC: Rare
Spectacled Owl Danger level: 4/10 Facts: These bold owls will prey on animals as large as the three-toed sloth. They will also prey on the clan cats. They are nocturnal, unsocial, and rarely seen birds. GJC: Less common GRC: Uncommon GAC: Very rare GFC: Very rare
Sunbear Danger level: 7/10 Facts: Like the tiger, the sunbear once lived in Asian tropical rainforests until the disappearance of humans and shifting of continents allowed them to move. They sit high up on the food chain, barely below tigers, and though they typically eat smaller animals and vegetation, they will prey on the clan cats. GJC: Common GRC: Less common GAC: Rare GFC: Rare
Tiger Danger level: 8/10 Facts: The largest big cat is in fact the tiger. Like the jaguar, they are skilled swimmers. Tigers have very long fangs, are heavily built, and are a serious threat to the clans if they're not on their side. Like the clouded leopard, they once only lived in Asia but have migrated to the Amazon. GJC: Very common GRC: Common GAC: Less common GFC: Common
PREY
Capybara Difficulty: 7/10 (need at least three cats to kill) Facts: Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world, weighing in at 100 pounds and standing at two feet tall. They're fast, great swimmers, and have sharp claws. They live in groups, so one needs to be isolated and attacked by one big cat or at least three clan cats to be taken down. GJC: Common GRC: Very common GAC: Uncommon GFC: Less common
Giant Anteater Difficulty: 9/10 (need at least four cats to kill) Facts: Giant anteaters have an excellent sense of smell but terrible eyesight. They weigh in at around 140 pounds and live alone. They're strong and have sharp claws. When frightened, they stand on their hind legs to appear bigger -- the opportune moment to strike the belly. GJC: Less common GRC: Common GAC: Common GFC: Less common
Golden Lion Tamarin Difficulty: 5/10 (need at least one cat to kill) Facts: Golden lion tamarins live in groups and speak softly to one another. They live in the treetops, making them dangerous prey to capture. It is not recommended they are chased if they run. These small monkeys will sound a loud, wild alarm call if a threat is nearby. GJC: Very common GRC: Less common GAC: N/A GFC: Very rare
Kinkajou Difficulty: 7/10 (need at least one cat to kill) Facts: With their eighteen-inch, prehensile tail, kinkajous are excellent climbers. They move swiftly through the trees, and they scream when frightened. They're nocturnal and prefer living alone, and their vision isn't very great. GJC: Very common GRC: Less common GAC: N/A GFC: Rare
Parrot Difficulty: 4/10 (need at least one cat to kill) Facts: Colored brilliantly with vibrant hues, parrots are an easy find in the rainforest. The largest parrot species, the macaw, is also common prey. They're not difficult to catch unless flying, and one needs to be careful when capturing this bird. GJC: Very common GRC: Very common GAC: Less common GFC: Common
Shrew Difficulty: 2/10 (need at least one cat to kill) Facts: These small animals vary in habitat. Some live in the trees, others underground, but all in all, they are very common. They are small animals, easy to capture, and are great practice for apprentices. GJC: Very common GRC: Very common GAC: Very common GFC: Very common
Three-Toed Sloth Difficulty: 6/10 (need at least one cat to kill) Facts: Slow-moving and lazy, three-toed sloths can be hard to see. They have long claws and excellent eyesight. They're good swimmers, they sleep most of the day, and while males live alone, females live in groups. GJC: Common GRC: Very common GAC: N/A GFC: Uncommon
Other prey animals such as mice, moles, voles, squirrels, raccoons, tropical birds, and small monkeys can also be found in most of the territories. Great Air Clan has an abundance of rabbits and hares, too.
Larger prey animals which needs at least four clan cats or one big cat to take down include deer and Roosevelt elk.
